Export Your User File

There is nothing so sad as to work to perfect your user profile and then to have your computer hard drive crash. One of the exciting new features in Dragon NaturallySpeaking 6 is the ability to export a user file to a network, a zip drive, or a DVD rewritable drive.
(Note: This is a different process than the back up procedure, which simply saves a duplicate user file on the local computer. For a quick back up, select NaturallySpeaking/Back Up User.)
In version 6, Dragon gives you the ability to export your profile to the network. This is particularly helpful in lab situations (where lab technicians, often without warning) re-image computers, wiping out carefully perfected user profiles.
Your students can protect their speech user files by doing an export to a safe location. Visit www.speakingsolutions.com/resources if you misplace a copy of these instructions.
