This Dragon NaturallySpeaking training curriculum is organized into three units, 59 training capsules and 108 exercises. We have more than doubled the hands-on exercises found in our previous Nifty 50 training manuals. The units include:
- Unit 1 Beginner Skills *
Exercises 1–33: What everyone must know to use speech recognition effectively. Approximately 2-4 hours to complete based on age and experience.
- Unit 2 Intermediate Skills *
Exercises 34–68: Using speech recognition to write and format skillfully. Approximately 3-5 hours to complete based on age and experience.
- Unit 3 Advanced Skills*
Exercises 69–108: Making Dragon
NaturallySpeaking a powerful part of your normal computer routine.
Approximately 3-5 hours to complete based on age and experience.
* DISCLAIMER: This training utilizes special speech features found in either the Preferred or Professional versions of Dragon 8-9 and Microsoft Office Word and Excel 2003 called natural language commands. If you have an older Office system, or if your system doesn’t allow the macros needed to run natural commands, many of the commands herein may not work for you. Troubleshoot and update your system or use the alternative classic commands or format by hand instead.
